Questions
Clear answers before you roll it out
The questions operators ask before trusting Rydmate with vehicles, staff, fares and records.
- Does Rydmate hold my money?
- No. Electronic payments go to your own account. Rydmate records and verifies the payment; it does not hold settlement funds or take a cut of fares.
- What if my drivers only take cash?
- Cash is supported. The fare is recorded against the shift, vehicle and driver, then reconciled against what was physically handed in.
- Do drivers need smartphones?
- Drivers who record fares or deliveries need a browser-capable phone. Drivers who do not use the app can still be assigned to vehicles, shifts and trips for accountability.
- What happens when the network is bad?
- Non-financial actions can queue and replay. Money actions pause until the connection returns so Rydmate does not create duplicate payment records.
- Can I track my buses or trucks?
- Yes. GPS trackers report to Rydmate, and each vehicle shows motion state, last-seen time and whether the tracker has gone quiet.
- Who can see finance data?
- Only people with finance permission. Drivers cannot open finance pages, and nobody can grant permissions they do not already hold.
- Can I export my records?
- Yes. Reports download as CSV, so your accountant can work from the same records you see in Rydmate.
- Is there a mobile app?
- Rydmate installs from the browser to the home screen and opens like an app, without waiting for app-store releases.
