Chapter 5Transport

Tickets and boarding

Selling a seat at the counter or online, and checking it at the gate.

Selling at the counter

  1. 1On Departures, open the coach and press Sell a ticket.
  2. 2Enter the passenger's name and phone, pick a seat if seats are numbered, and take the money (cash, transfer or POS).
  3. 3The ticket is created with a QR code. Print it, or send the link to the passenger's phone.

Every sale is a record in the ledger the same second: who sold it, on which shift, for how much, by what method. The owner sees the sale on the dashboard immediately.

Selling online

When online payments are connected, your website sells seats itself. The passenger picks a departure, chooses a seat, pays through your own payment account, and gets the ticket on their phone. The seat is held while they pay and confirmed only when the payment provider confirms the money.

At the gate

Scan opens the phone camera. Point it at the QR on the ticket: the screen goes green for a valid, unused ticket on this departure and red for anything else, with the reason. A ticket can be checked once; a second scan says so. No internet at the gate? The scanner keeps working on the last manifest it loaded and reports when it reconnects.

Cancellations and refunds

A ticket can be cancelled from the departure's manifest by someone with the permission. The cancellation is recorded against the original sale; a refund, if you give one, is recorded as an adjustment so the day's cash still adds up.
