The phone as the tracker

On every plan, a driver or rider can switch on Share my location on their phone screen. While their shift or delivery is active, the phone becomes the vehicle's tracker: the vehicle appears on the map under Tracking, moves as they move, and its trail is kept. Nothing to buy, nothing to install.

• The phone reports only while the screen is open and a shift or delivery is active.
• Sharing pauses on a low battery unless the phone is charging.
• If the vehicle has a hardware tracker, the tracker wins and the phone stands down.

Hardware trackers

From the Growth plan, register a GPS tracker fitted to a vehicle. Rydmate speaks the common protocols through Traccar and accepts positions directly from any device that can post JSON. Register the device by its identifier, assign it to a vehicle, and the vehicle is on the map whenever the ignition is on. A tracker reports without a driver and without a phone.

The map

Tracking shows every vehicle with a position: where it is, how fast, which way, and how long since it last reported. A vehicle that has not reported for a while is marked offline. Open a vehicle for its trail over any day.

Geofences

Draw an area, a terminal or a customer's yard, and Rydmate records every entry and exit. The dashboard tells you when a coach reaches the park and when a delivery van enters a customer's site.

Public tracking

Customers do not see your map. A passenger sees their departure; a shipper sees their parcel's progress by tracking code. Vehicle positions are yours.
